Negative effects of the built in anti-aliasing filter in your DSLR. “We hope these examples illustrate to you the tradeoff that manufactures have made when they decided to use an AA filter in the camera.  While they do achieve a certain technical goal of reducing moiré, they have sacrificed image quality for everything else!” I can’t believe this. I would be furious if I bought a camera that was incapable of truly tack-sharp focusing.  No wonder people are applying output sharpening all the time.
